Cranberry Crochet is my outlet for all things related to my favorite hobby. I’m a pattern fiend, fascinated by the various kinds of yarn available today, and would be happy to spend every day with a hook in my hand.

I first learned to crochet as a little girl. My mother has always been extremely crafty. She has quite an eye for color, material, and design and she can draw, paint, sew, knit, embroider, crochet and cook with amazing skill.
She must have tried to pique my interest in all of those things at one time or another but the only one that stuck was crochet. It’s a hobby she and I still enjoy together to this day – more than 40 years since she first handed me a ball of yarn and a spare hook.
My brain is more logical than creative but I think that gives me a unique perspective on how to analyze the tools of the trade.
Through this site I hope to share reviews of hooks, yarn brands, yarn organizers, scissors, needles, bags, patterns and all the other items that one acquires as they delve more deeply into crocheting.
You’ll also find updates on my own projects, designs, and ideas – inspiration to help you create the wonderful things you’d love to make for your family, your friends, your home, and yourself.
